NORTON, MA – June 2020 – Plantation Products, LLC (“Plantation Products”), a leading supplier of branded consumable gardening products, closed on two add-on acquisitions in early June. In separate transactions, Plantation Products acquired Sustainable Agrico and Dyna-Gro. The acquisitions strategically enhance the product and brand portfolio of Plantation Products.
Sustainable Agrico includes the gardening seeds business of Seeds of Change, a division of Mars, Incorporated. Sustainable Agrico has been providing gardeners with organic seeds under the Seeds of Change brand since 1989. Concurrent with the transaction, Plantation Products entered into a long-term license agreement with Seeds of Change. The acquisition allows Plantation Products to expand its organic seed offering. “The Seeds of Change brand is highly differentiated in today’s marketplace and adds a well-recognized, premium and organic brand to round out our seed portfolio” said Michael Pietrasiewicz, President and CEO of Plantation Products.
Dyna-Gro produces and distributes a line of liquid plant nutrient products. Dyna-Gro’s products supply plants with essential nutrients in concentrated solutions that encourage healthy plant growth. Dyna-Gro has provided gardeners with easy to use, cost-effective products for over 35 years and has developed a loyal base of customers who have faithfully used Dyna-Gro for years. “Dyna-Gro has a fantastic product line and an established track record of helping gardeners be more successful”, said Michael Pietrasiewicz.
“With both these acquisitions, our goal is to introduce these products to more gardeners, so they can experience the exceptional quality and benefits firsthand”, added Pietrasiewicz. "We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional new brands and employees into the Plantation Products family and are very excited about the future.”
